Your Favourite Burger Combinations
Had this combo the other day, was bloody marvelous:

- brioche bun
- cheese burger dipped in bone marrow gravy
- burger sauce

Quite simple, but mega tasty.

Cunts.

You never eaten a burger pissed before?

It's not the point. It shouldn't be necessary. If I can't eat it, it shouldn't be in my burger.

Re: Your Favourite Burger Combinations
Definitely no brioche bun. Have that for your pudding if you must. Has to be a sesame seed bun.

Bacon and blue cheese works for me if I'm feeling posh. And onion, fried or raw red.

The whole thing has to be flat and wide enough to stand up on its own and be thin enough to bite. If it needs a cocktail stick to hold it together then it's a fail. And bloody dangerous.

I find it hard to get excited about what is essentially a beefburger sarnie. Having said that Pickle's suggestion of including a pickled chilli (I assume he means those jarred ones in brine) sounds brilliant and I'll be trying that next time I make burgers.

Don’t talk TRIPE

Bacon in a burger, especially with cheese and jalapeño, is MAJESTIC

Pineapple should never be on a pizza - agreed

Bacon should never be in a burger - no way.

Use go to nice Brussels cafe for lunch that did a fried egg on a burger. Very nice.

Can we all just agree on 2 things? Pineapple should never be on a pizza and bacon should never be in a burger

Must be a long time ago? I seem to remember it was in the days when a McDonald's in Central London was still a bit special as they hadn't spread to the outer bits yet.

Talking of cheese, has anyone tried the Squeezy Cheesey Peas? Lovely, especially the strawberry flavour.

As for a perfect burger -

Seeded bun, bottom of the bun has French mustard, parttie, American cheese, lettuce, red onion, pickles, red sauce, done.

Re: Your Favourite Burger Combinations
I’m not into this “shove everything you can into the burger” approach some of the newer gourmet chains favour.

I don’t want chilli beef, a hash brown or guacamole in my burger.

I just want a decent burger first and foremost, with some ketchup, burger relish and onion.

I’m also going to be controversial and say I don’t think bacon should be anywhere near a burger. I love bacon, but the two don’t add anything to each other, it’s just distracting.

Oh and brioche buns can fuck right off.

Quick burgers in Oslo are ok. Or maybe it’s the only thing I can afford there.
